The Golden Bears (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Cleburne County (Heflin, AL). The Tigers come into the 4A Region 4 challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Cleburne County was beaten by Lineville (Lineville, AL), 22-6, in a non-league challenge.
The Blue Devils now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Fort Payne for a 5A Region 7 challenge on Friday, September 4. Etowah will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 31-7 non-league win over Plainview (Rainsville, AL). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-0.
