January 22, 2013: Romoland, CA 92585 In Tuesday's league battle, the visiting Elsinore Tigers soccer squad scored a close 5-1 win over the Heritage Patriots.
With the victory, Elsinore moves its record to 9-7 on the year. The Tigers travel to Paloma Valley (Menifee, CA) to battle the Wildcats in a Sunbelt bout on Thursday, January 24. The Wildcats enter the bout with a record of 2-9. Paloma Valley lost 5-2 in their recent league bout against Lakeside (Lake Elsinore, CA)
In their next game, the Patriots battle the Perris Panthers (Perris, CA) in a Sunbelt bout, on Thursday, January 24. Heritage will attempt to move on its 3-11 season record. The Panthers enter the bout with a 7-3 record after their 2-2 league Temescal Canyon (Lake Elsinore, CA).
Game Summary
Both teams started out at a brisk pace. Elsinore scored the first two goals with a lone goal for Heritage just before the half. In the second half the Tigers upped the pace and took three times the shots of the first half.
