Massachusetts High School Basketball - Monument Mountain overwhelms Hoosick Falls
December 30, 2008: Great Barrington, MA 01230 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Monument Mountain Spartans (Great Barrington, MA) and the visiting Hoosick Falls Panthers (Hoosick Falls, NY), saw Monument Mountain's basketball squad trounce Hoosick Falls by a count of 59-21.
With the victory, Monument Mountain upgrades its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Taconic (Pittsfield, MA) to play the Braves in a Berkshire County challenge on Friday, January 9. The Braves come into the challenge with a record of 0-5.
Next up, the Panthers play the Tamarac Bengals (Troy, NY) in a Section 2 Wasaren challenge, on Friday, January 2. Hoosick Falls will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Bengals come into the challenge with a 3-3 record after their 39-31 non-league loss to Schalmont (Schenectady, NY).
