Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings (Flossmoor, IL) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Hillcrest Hawks (Country Club Hills, IL), 69-68 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Homewood-Flossmoor upgrades its record to 11-6 on the campaign. The Vikings host Lincoln-Way East (Frankfort, IL) to play the Griffins in a SouthWest Suburban - Blue bout on Saturday, January 31. The Griffins come into the bout with a record of 8-10.

Next up, the Hawks play the Thornton Fractional North Meteors (Calumet City, IL) in a South Suburban bout, on Friday, February 6. Hillcrest will attempt to improve on its 15-5 season record.
