Illinois High School Basketball - Webster Groves can't hold off Edwardsville
January 28, 2012: Edwardsville, IL 62025 The Edwardsville Tigers basketball team scored 65 points and held the visiting Webster Groves Statesmen to 60 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Tigers now sport a 14-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Granite City for a Southwestern contest on Friday, February 10.
The Statesmen (16-4) will now prepare for their contest against Parkway North (St. Louis, MO). The Vikings enter the Suburban - South contest with a 15-3 record. In their last contest, Parkway North was nudged by Troy-Buchanan (Troy, MO), 64-39, in a non-league contest.
