Monroe Redhawks (Monroe, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Albemarle Bulldogs (Albemarle, NC), 70-55 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Monroe upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Redhawks host Piedmont (Monroe, NC) to clash with the Panthers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 9. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 2-0.

Next up, the Bulldogs clash with the West Stanly Colts (Oakboro, NC) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 8. Albemarle will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
