In Friday's non-league game, the Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC) football team smashed the host Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC), by a final score of 63-14.

The Pirates (2-0) will now prepare for their game against Forest Hills (Marshville, NC). The Yellowjackets come into the non-league game with a 0-2 record. In their last game, Forest Hills was trounced by Weddington (Matthews, NC), 48-27, in a non-league challenge.
