Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Pershing County Mustangs (Lovelock, NV) and the host Virginia City Muckers (Virginia City, NV), saw Pershing County's basketball squad hold off Virginia City by a count of 37-36.

With the victory, Pershing County upgrades its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Incline (Incline Village, NV) to play the Highlanders in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 10. The Highlanders come into the challenge with a record of 3-1.

Coming up next, the Muckers battle the Gerlach Lions (Gerlach, NV) in a Northern 1A - West battle, on Friday, December 17. Virginia City will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record.
