December 16, 2014: Hooks, TX 75561 In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Hooks Hornets (Hooks, TX) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Hughes Springs Mustangs (Hughes Springs, TX), by a margin of 65-33.
The Hornets (15-1) will now prepare for their outing against Cooper (Cooper, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 3A Region II District 15 outing with a 1-2 record. In their last outing, Cooper smashed ROMEO Preparatory Academy for Boys (Paris, TX), 64-60, in a non-league outing.
The Mustangs now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Daingerfield for a 3A Region II District 16 outing on Friday, December 19. Hughes Springs will clash with a Tigers squad coming off a 67-34 non-league loss to Haworth (Haworth, OK). The Tigers record now stands at 1-3.
