The Mountaineers (5-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Manistique (Manistique, MI). The Emeralds come into the Mid-Peninsula challenge with a 1-4 record. In their last challenge, Manistique was beaten by North Central (Powers, MI), 26-14, in a non-league challenge.
The Patriots now sport a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they host Inland Lakes for a non-league challenge on Saturday, October 1. Westwood will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 41-6 non-league win over Rogers City (Rogers City, MI). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-2.
