New Mexico High School Basketball - Tohatchi holds off Newcomb
February 7, 2013: Newcomb, NM 87455 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Tohatchi Cougars (Tohatchi, NM) and the host Newcomb Sky Hawks (Newcomb, NM), saw Tohatchi's basketball squad hold off Newcomb by a tally of 36-30.
With the victory, Tohatchi improves its record to 2-15 on the campaign. The Cougars host Navajo Prep (Farmington, NM) to confront the Eagles in a 2A District 1 challenge on Saturday, February 9. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 8-9. Navajo Prep lost 71-54 in their recent league challenge against Navajo Pine (Navajo, NM)
Next up, the Sky Hawks confront the Navajo Pine Warriors (Navajo, NM) in a 2A District 1 challenge, on Saturday, February 9. Newcomb will attempt to improve on its 6-9 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 15-4 record after their 71-54 league win over Navajo Prep (Farmington, NM).
