Texas High School Basketball - West Texas nips Booker
January 11, 2011: Stinnett, TX 79083 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the West Texas Comanches (Stinnett, TX) and the visiting Booker Kiowas (Booker, TX), saw West Texas's basketball squad hold off Booker by a score of 47-44.
With the victory, West Texas improves its record to 11-15 on the campaign. The Comanches travel to Sunray (Sunray, TX) to battle the Bobcats in a 1A-1 Region I District 1 challenge on Friday, January 14. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a record of 10-12. Sunray lost 44-42 in their recent league challenge against Gruver (Gruver, TX)
Next up, the Kiowas battle the Stratford Elks (Stratford, TX) in a 1A-1 Region I District 1 challenge, on Friday, January 14. Booker will attempt to improve on its 0-10 season record. The Elks come into the challenge with a 11-10 record after their 69-32 league loss to Canadian (Canadian, TX).
