September 24, 2010: Greenville, NC 27834 The Rose Rampants football team (Greenville, NC), was beaten 45-26 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Scotland Fighting Scots (Laurinburg, NC)
The Fighting Scots (4-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Purnell Swett (Pembroke, NC). The Rams come into the 4A Southeastern challenge with a 5-1 record. In their last challenge, Purnell Swett achieved victory over Ashley (Wilmington, NC), 28-14, in a non-league challenge.
The Rampants now sport a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Rocky Mount for a non-league challenge on Friday, October 1. Rose will meet a Gryphons team coming off a 38-20 non-league loss to Southwest Edgecombe (Pinetops, NC). The Gryphons record now stands at 2-3.
