In Friday's league outing, the Parkland Matadors (El Paso, TX) basketball squad edged the host Ysleta Indians (El Paso, TX), by a count of 49-46.

The Matadors (3-14) will now prepare for their outing against Horizon (El Paso, TX). The Scorpions go into the 4A Region I District 2 outing with a 19-2 record. In their last outing, Horizon nipped Riverside (El Paso, TX), 57-12, in a league outing.
