The Rowan County Vikings (Morehead, KY) basketball nipped the host Ashland Blazer Tomcats (Ashland, KY), 65-62 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Vikings (7-4) will now prepare for their test against Clark (Winchester, KY). The Cardinals go into the non-league test with a 11-2 record. In their last test, Clark got by Warren Central (Bowling Green, KY), 47-37, in a non-league test.

The Tomcats now own a 7-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Warren Central for a non-league test on Thursday, December 29. Ashland Blazer will clash with a Dragons squad coming off a 47-37 non-league loss to Clark (Winchester, KY). The Dragons record now stands at 6-5.
