The Fernley Vaqueros topped the host Pershing County Mustangs basketball team by a final score of 48-38 in Thursday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Vaqueros face the Yerington Lions (Yerington, NV) in a non-league game, on Saturday, December 21. Fernley will attempt to move on its 4-4 season record. The Lions enter the game with a 7-5 record after their 88-55 league loss to West Wendover (West Wendover, NV).

With the defeat, Pershing County moves to 5-3 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Incline (Incline Village, NV) to face the Highlanders in a III Northern game on Friday, December 20.
