South Carolina High School Basketball - Porter-Gaud crushes Academic Magnet
December 17, 2010: Charleston, SC 29407 Porter-Gaud Cyclones (Charleston, SC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Academic Magnet Raptors (North Charleston, SC), 73-37 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Porter-Gaud upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The Cyclones host Bethesda Day (Savannah, GA) to play the in a non-league bout on Friday, December 17. The go into the bout with a record of 4-2. Bethesda Day won 57-41 in their recent non-league bout against Australian Christian All-Stars (Australia) (, )
Next up, the Raptors play the Hanahan Hawks (Hanahan, SC) in a AA Region VIII challenge, on Tuesday, January 4. Academic Magnet will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 59-58 league loss to Garrett Academy Tech (North Charleston, SC).
