In Friday's non-league battle, the host Lovejoy Leopards volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Richland Rebels.

The Leopards (13-1) will now prepare for their battle against John Paul II (Plano, TX). The Cardinals come into the non-league battle with a 4-2 record. In their last battle, John Paul II lost by Seven Lakes (Katy, TX), 2-1, in a non-league battle.

In their next game, the Rebels confront the Creekview Mustangs (Carrollton, TX) in a non-league test, on Saturday, August 20. Richland will attempt to improve on its 6-6 season record. The Mustangs enter the test with a 6-5 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Rowlett (Rowlett, TX).
