In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Lake Hornets basketball team scored a good 51-38 triumph over the Morton Panthers.

In their next game, the Hornets confront the Pelahatchie Chiefs (Pelahatchie, MS) in a 2A Region 5 match, on Tuesday, December 7. Lake will attempt to move on its 4-0 season record. The Chiefs enter the match with a 2-2 record after their 41-33 non-league loss to Puckett (Puckett, MS).
