In Monday's non-league outing, the Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC) basketball squad felled the host Jack Britt Buccaneers (Fayetteville, NC), by a margin of 72-55.

The Buccaneers (9-9) will now prepare for their outing against West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC). The Trojans go into the 4A/3A Conference 17 outing with a 11-4 record. In their last outing, West Brunswick thwarted Ashley (Wilmington, NC), 72-66, in a league outing.
