Middleburg Academy (Middleburg, VA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Deep Creek Hornets (Chesapeake, VA), 61-58 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Middleburg Academy upgrades its record to 8-1 on the campaign. The travel to St. Stephen's & St. Agnes (Alexandria, VA) to play the Saints in a non-league bout on Friday, December 19. The Saints come into the bout with a record of 3-3. St. Stephen's & St. Agnes won 73-50 in their recent non-league bout against Genesis Academy (Lynchburg, VA)
