Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Liberty Lions (Peoria, AZ) and the visiting Greenway Demons (Phoenix, AZ), saw Liberty's basketball squad hold off Greenway by a score of 46-45.

With the victory, Liberty improves its record to 12-11 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Cactus (Glendale, AZ) to battle the Cobras in a II Section II challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Cobras come into the challenge with a record of 6-18.

Next up, the Demons battle the Deer Valley Skyhawks (Glendale, AZ) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 27. Greenway will attempt to improve on its 12-6 season record. The Skyhawks come into the challenge with a 14-9 record after their 56-40 non-league loss to Liberty (Peoria, AZ).
