Walker Wildcats (Walker, LA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Scotlandville Hornets (Baton Rouge, LA), 71-66 in a league challenge.

With the victory, Walker improves its record to 20-3 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Live Oak (Watson, LA) to confront the Eagles in a 5A District 4 challenge on Friday, January 16. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 9-8.

Next up, the Hornets confront the O. Perry Walker Chargers (New Orleans, LA) in a challenge, on Wednesday, January 14. Scotlandville will attempt to improve on its 12-6 season record. The Chargers come into the challenge with a 15-1 record after their 58-54 non-league win over Rayne (Rayne, LA).
