Kentucky High School Basketball - Monticello crushes Jefferson Christian Academy
December 20, 2008: Monticello, KY 42633 Monticello Trojans (Monticello, KY) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Jefferson Christian Academy Eagles (Birmingham, AL), 62-40 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Monticello upgrades its record to 7-3 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to McCreary Central (Stearns, KY) to play the Raiders in a District 48 bout on Friday, January 2. The Raiders come into the bout with a record of 1-7. McCreary Central lost 63-54 in their recent non-league bout against Woodford County (Versailles, KY)
Next up, the Eagles play the Appalachian Eagles (Oneonta, AL) in a 1A Area 9 bout, on Thursday, January 8. Jefferson Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 14-4 season record.
