Thrasher Rebels (Booneville, MS) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host East Union Urchins (Blue Springs, MS), 57-43 in a non-league challenge.

With the victory, Thrasher improves its record to 9-6 on the campaign. The Rebels host South Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS) to battle the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 6-4. South Pontotoc won 65-51 in their recent league challenge against Mantachie (Mantachie, MS)

Next up, the Urchins battle the Ingomar Falcons (New Albany, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 7. East Union will attempt to improve on its 0-16 season record.
