In Saturday's league match, the host Peru Indians football squad scored a close 20-14 victory over the Ticonderoga Sentinels.

In their next game, the Indians clash with the Au Sable Valley Patriots (Clintonville, NY) in a Section 7 match, on Friday, September 19. Peru will attempt to move on its 2-0 season record. The Patriots enter the match with a 0-2 record after their 43-22 league loss to Beekmantown (Plattsburgh, NY).

The Sentinels (1-1) will now prepare for their match against Moriah (Port Henry, NY). The Vikings enter the Section 7 match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, Moriah held off Saranac (Saranac, NY), 40-22, in a league match.
