April 5, 2012: Portland, TX 78374 Gregory-Portland Wildcats (Portland, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Calhoun Sandcrabs (Port Lavaca, TX), 8-7 in a league test.
With the win, Gregory-Portland upgrades its record to 3-8 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Victoria East (Victoria, TX) to battle the Titans in a 4A Region IV District 30 test on Tuesday, April 10. The Titans come into the test with a record of 14-9. Victoria East won 10-0 in their recent league test against Jones (Beeville, TX)
With the defeat, Calhoun falls to 3-6 on the season. The Sandcrabs host Victoria West (Victoria, TX) to battle the in a 4A Region IV District 30 test on Tuesday, April 10. The come into the test with a record of 11-7. Victoria West won 10-2 in their recent league test against Floresville (Floresville, TX)
