In Friday's league outing, the Del Valle Conquistadores (El Paso, TX) basketball squad edged the visiting Parkland Matadors (El Paso, TX), by a margin of 62-59.

The Conquistadores (11-11) will now prepare for their outing against Ysleta (El Paso, TX). The Indians go into the 4A Region I District 2 outing with a 10-13 record. In their last outing, Ysleta nipped Horizon (El Paso, TX), 69-35, in a league outing.

The Matadors now own a 8-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to Canutillo for a 4A Region I District 2 outing on Tuesday, January 17. Parkland will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 55-45 league loss to Riverside (El Paso, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 8-13.
