California High School Softball - Rocklin nudges Franklin

Rocklin Thunder (Rocklin, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Franklin Wildcats (Elk Grove, CA), 4-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Thunder now own a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they host Del Oro for a Sierra Foothill challenge on Wednesday, March 17. Rocklin will face a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 5-4 non-league win over Whitney (Rocklin, CA). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 3-1.

With the loss, Franklin falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Wildcats host St. Francis (Sacramento, CA) to face the Troubadours in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 15. The Troubadours enter the challenge with a record of 3-4. St. Francis won 4-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Alhambra (Martinez, CA)
