The North Stars basketball team scored 40 points and held the visiting Centennial Golden Hawks to 31 in the Stars non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Stars now sport a 6-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Garces for a Southeast Yosemite contest on Tuesday, January 17.

The Golden Hawks (3-12) will now prepare for their contest against Stockdale (Bakersfield, CA). The Mustangs enter the Southwest Yosemite contest with a 6-8 record. In their last contest, Stockdale ran past Bakersfield Christian (Bakersfield, CA), 68-55, in a non-league contest.
