West Virginia High School Football - Webster County drops to Liberty
October 3, 2014: Upper Glade, WV 26206 In Friday's non-league game, the Liberty Raiders (Glen Daniel, WV) football team knocked off the host Webster County Highlanders (Upper Glade, WV), by a final score of 41-18.
The Raiders (5-1) will now prepare for their game against Independence (Coal City, WV). The Patriots come into the Coalfield AA game with a 4-2 record.
The Highlanders now hold a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Nicholas County for a Coalfield AA game on Friday, October 10. Webster County will battle a Grizzlies team coming off a 25-19 league win over James Monroe (Lindside, WV). The Grizzlies record now stands at 4-1.
