September 11, 2009: New Rochelle, NY 10804 The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Bergen Catholic Crusaders (Oradell, NJ) and the host Iona Prep Gaels (New Rochelle, NY), observed Bergen Catholic's football squad bounce Iona Prep by a count of 38-2.
The Crusaders now own a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Westfield for a non-league contest on Saturday, September 19. Bergen Catholic will encounter a Bombers squad coming off a 13-7 non-league loss to Chicopee Comp (Chicopee, MA). The Bombers record now stands at 0-1.
