The Owatonna Huskies (Owatonna, MN) basketball felled the visiting Mayo Spartans (Rochester, MN), 58-45 in Friday's league test.

The Huskies (18-4) will now prepare for their test against Shakopee (Shakopee, MN). The Sabers go into the non-league test with a 12-9 record. In their last test, Shakopee defeated Academy of Holy Angels (Richfield, MN), 45-36, in a league test.

The Spartans now own a 7-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to Albert Lea for a Big 9 test on Tuesday, February 22. Mayo will clash with a Tigers squad coming off a 72-62 league loss to Mankato East (Mankato, MN). The Tigers record now stands at 5-13.
