The Mountain Pointe Pride basketball team (Phoenix, AZ), was nudged 65-60 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Red Mountain Mountain Lions (Mesa, AZ)

The Mountain Lions now possess a 9-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Desert Ridge for a I Section II battle on Tuesday, January 14. Red Mountain will confront a Jaguars team coming off a 90-85 league loss to Highland (Gilbert, AZ). The Jaguars record now stands at 11-5.

The Pride (7-6) will now prepare for their battle against Skyline (Mesa, AZ). The Coyotes come into the I Section II battle with a 6-10 record. In their last battle, Skyline was nudged by Queen Creek (Queen Creek, AZ), 74-48, in a non-league battle.
