Ohio High School Basketball - East topped by Washington
December 29, 2009: Massillon, OH 44646 The Washington Tigers basketball team scored 71 points and restricted the visiting East Orientals to 57 in the Tigers non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Tigers now sport a 2-4 record. They play next when they travel to Harding for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 2. Washington will play a Raiders squad coming off a 87-71 league win over St. Vincent-St. Mary (Akron, OH). The Raiders record now stands at 6-0.
Next up, the Orientals play the Orrville Red Riders (Orrville, OH) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 5. East will attempt to upgrade on its 5-1 season record. The Red Riders go into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 58-42 league win over Ashland (Ashland, OH).
