Hebron lost 4-3 in six innings at Mansfield Timberview High School on Thursday, despite outhitting Keller Central 11 to 4.
The Hawks scored 1 run in the 2nd when Devon Fisk scored on an RBI single by Erin Payne. They put their final 2 runs up in the 3rd as Chelsea Herndon led off the inning with an inside the park homerun that took a crazy bounce off the fence in center. Then Olivia Martinez scored on a triple by Deja Talton. That was all the scoring the Hawks could garner though through the rest of the contest leaving 4 runners stranded over the last 3 innings. Martinez also tripled in the 5th but was left on base.
After Keller Central scored 4 runs on 3 hits and 2 errors in the 1st inning, Brynn Putnam baffled the Chargers, striking out five batters. Putnam allowed no earned runs on four hits and two walks over six innings.
