Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the St. John's Pioneers (Shrewsbury, MA) and the host Wachusett Regional Mountaineers (Holden, MA), saw St. John's's basketball squad wallop Wachusett Regional by a tally of 76-55.

With the victory, St. John's improves its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Pioneers travel to St. Peter-Marian (Worcester, MA) to play the Guardians in a Central Mass test on Tuesday, January 6. The Guardians go into the test with a record of 0-4.

The Mountaineers now own a 3-1 record. They play next when they travel to Fitchburg for a Midland-Wachusett A test on Friday, January 23.
