Corning Cardinals (Corning, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Anderson Cubs (Anderson, CA), 60-51 in a league bout.

With the win, Corning upgrades its record to 17-5 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Lassen (Susanville, CA) to play the Grizzlies in a Northern bout on Tuesday, February 10. The Grizzlies go into the bout with a record of 10-11. Lassen lost 57-53 in their recent league bout against Yreka (Yreka, CA)

Next up, the Cubs play the West Valley Eagles (Cottonwood, CA) in a Northern bout, on Tuesday, February 10. Anderson will attempt to upgrade on its 11-10 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 13-7 record after their 60-46 league loss to Central Valley (Shasta Lake, CA).
