Mississippi High School Basketball - Hoover nipped by Pontotoc
February 1, 2014: Pontotoc, MS 38863 In Saturday's non-league match, the host Pontotoc Warriors basketball team scored a tight 55-51 triumph over the Hoover Buccaneers.
In their next game, the Warriors face the Itawamba Agricultural Indians (Fulton, MS) in a 4A Region 1 match, on Tuesday, February 4. Pontotoc will attempt to move on its 20-4 season record. The Indians enter the match with a 18-5 record after their 68-34 non-league loss to New Hope (Columbus, MS).
With the defeat, Hoover moves to 6-10 on the year. The Buccaneers host Vestavia Hills (Vestavia Hills, AL) to face the Rebels in a non-league match on Monday, February 3. The Rebels go into the test with a record of 8-12.
