The Drake Pirates basketball team (San Anselmo, CA), dropped 44-34 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Novato Hornets (Novato, CA)

The Hornets now sport a 9-5 record. They play next when they travel to San Marin for a Marin County battle on Saturday, January 7. Novato will meet a Mustangs team coming off a 51-33 league win over Branson (Ross, CA). The Mustangs record now stands at 13-1.
