Cory-Rawson Hornets (Rawson, OH) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Upper Scioto Valley Rams (McGuffey, OH), 54-52 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Cory-Rawson upgrades its record to 4-5 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Arcadia (Arcadia, OH) to play the Redskins in a Blanchard Valley bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Redskins come into the bout with a record of 4-4. Arcadia won 58-34 in their recent non-league bout against Bettsville (Bettsville, OH)

Next up, the Rams play the Waynesfield-Goshen Tigers (Waynesfield, OH) in a Northwest Central bout, on Friday, January 20. Upper Scioto Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 2-8 record after their 74-51 non-league loss to Ada (Ada, OH).
