Texas High School Basketball - Bowie trounces Denton
December 29, 2010: Arlington, TX 76018 The Bowie Volunteers (Arlington, TX) basketball crushed the visiting Denton Broncos (Denton, TX), 52-29 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Volunteers (8-6) will now prepare for their test against Martin (Arlington, TX). The Warriors go into the 5A Region I District 4 test with a 8-7 record. In their last test, Martin was trounced by Northwest (Justin, TX), 64-54, in a non-league test.
The Broncos now own a 3-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to Little Elm for a 4A Region I District 4 test on Friday, December 31. Denton will clash with a Lobos squad coming off a 58-55 non-league win over Vandegrift (Austin, TX). The Lobos record now stands at 7-8.
