Game Summary
Parkview completed its regular season with a 5-2 over nationally ranked Columbus on Saturday. The Panthers scored a pair of runs in each of the first 2 innings and never looked back. Sr. Jesse Foster pitched 5 innings and allowed only 4 hits and 1 unearned run. Soph Mac Marshall pitched the 6th and Sr. Jack Esmonde pitched the 7th to earn his 5th save. Sr. Matt Olson led the offense with 2 hits and 3 rbi, while Jr. Jarrett Freeland also had 2 hits with 2 rbi. Several other Panthers had strong days at the plate including Josh Hart (2 hits), Ryan Blanton (2 hits), and Jack Esmonde and Rob Youngblood each had 1 hit. Parkview opens the GHSA AAAAA State Playoffs versus Collins Hill next Friday.
