Virginia High School Basketball - Miller nips Middleburg Academy

Miller Mavericks (Charlottesville, VA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Middleburg Academy (Middleburg, VA), 77-71 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Miller upgrades its record to 12-8 on the season. The Mavericks travel to Blue Ridge (St. George, VA) to play the Barons in a VISAA Division 1 bout on Friday, February 8. The Barons go into the bout with a record of 6-11. Blue Ridge won 81-50 in their recent non-league bout against Southside Baptist Christian (Richmond, VA)

Next up, the face the Virginia Episcopal School Bishops (Lynchburg, VA) in a non-league game, on Saturday, February 9. Middleburg Academy will attempt to move on its 18-8 season record. The Bishops enter the game with a 12-3 record after their 53-51 league win over Liberty Christian (Lynchburg, VA).
