Illinois High School Volleyball - Freeburg tips Newton
November 8, 2008: Freeburg, IL 62243 The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Freeburg Midgets (Freeburg, IL) and the visiting Newton Eagles (Newton, IL), saw Freeburg's volleyball squad nip Newton by a tally of 2-1.
With the win, Freeburg upgrades its record to 33-4 on the year. The Midgets travel to St. Edward (Elgin, IL) to play the Green Wave in a non-league bout on Friday, November 14. The Green Wave go into the bout with a record of 7-7. St. Edward won 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Immaculate Conception (Elmhurst, IL)
The Eagles now own a 4-3 record.
