In Friday's league outing, the Friendswood Mustangs (Friendswood, TX) basketball squad edged the host Dawson Eagles (Pearland, TX), by a margin of 46-45.

The Mustangs (17-7) will now prepare for their outing against Lee (Baytown, TX). The Ganders go into the 4A Region III District 24 outing with a 8-16 record. In their last outing, Lee nipped Santa Fe (Santa Fe, TX), 48-34, in a league outing.
