Westminster Catawba Christian (Rock Hill, SC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the host Winn Academy Eagles (Winnsboro, SC), 26-20 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Westminster Catawba Christian upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The host Gaston Christian (Belmont, NC) to encounter the Eagles in a NCISAA Metrolina bout on Tuesday, December 9. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 3-0. Gaston Christian won 60-40 in their recent league bout against Northside Christian Academy (Charlotte, NC)

Next up, the Eagles encounter the Davis Academy Raiders (Blackville, SC) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 8. Winn Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
