Illinois High School Basketball - Geneseo nips Thornridge
December 26, 2013: Geneseo, IL 61254 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Geneseo Maple Leafs (Geneseo, IL) and the visiting Thornridge Falcons (Dolton, IL), saw Geneseo's basketball squad hold off Thornridge by a count of 62-55.
With the victory, Geneseo upgrades its record to 5-6 on the campaign. The Maple Leafs travel to DeKalb (DeKalb, IL) to play the Barbs in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 27. The Barbs come into the challenge with a record of 4-8. DeKalb lost 59-43 in their recent non-league battle against Marmion Academy (Aurora, IL)
The Falcons (5-8) will now prepare for their battle against Winnebago (Winnebago, IL). The Indians come into the non-league battle with a 9-2 record. In their last battle, Winnebago edged DuSable (Chicago, IL), 72-65, in a non-league battle.
