California High School Volleyball - Madera can't hold off Monterey Trail
April 4, 2009: Elk Grove, CA 95624 The Madera Coyotes volleyball team (Madera, CA), was edged 2-1 in Saturday's non-league challenge with the host Monterey Trail Mustangs (Elk Grove, CA)
The Mustangs (17-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Fresno (Fresno, CA). The Warriors come into the non-league challenge with a 2-8 record. In their last challenge, Fresno nudged Bear River (Grass Valley, CA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Coyotes encounter the Buchanan Bears (Clovis, CA) in a Tri-Rivers challenge, on Tuesday, April 14. Madera will attempt to move on its 7-6 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 2-10 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Sylmar (Sylmar, CA).
