April 12, 2010: Severn, MD 21144 Archbishop Spalding Cavaliers (Severn, MD) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Loyola Blakefield Dons (Towson, MD), 10-9 in a league test.
With the win, Archbishop Spalding upgrades its record to 6-4 on the season. The Cavaliers travel to Carroll (Bel Air, MD) to battle the Patriots in a non-league test on Wednesday, April 14. The Patriots come into the battle with a record of 7-6. Carroll lost 12-5 in their recent league battle against Gilman (Baltimore, MD)
The Dons now possess a 7-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mount St. Joseph for a MIAA A battle on Wednesday, April 14. Loyola Blakefield will play a Gaels squad coming off a 7-6 league loss to St. Paul's (Brooklandville, MD). The Gaels record now stands at 10-5.
